Bioethics and restrictions to liberties in times of COVID-19

Abstract This study analyzes Law 13,979/2020 (Quarantine Law), according to the principles established by Universal Declaration on Bioethics and Human Rights , identify main similarities differences between both legal frameworks in terms of determinations imposed former combat COVID-19. A bibliographic documental search was conducted constitutional legislation, Executive’s norms, international regulations about bioethics. Comparison dictates declaration’s shows that law is line with field Compliance health measures implies recognizing valuing human dignity caring for one’s own vulnerability others.
